A fine Georgian Sheraton design selected satinwood serpentine commode of generous country house proportions. Thought to have been made originally for Lord Amherst for Montreal Park in Kent. The perfectly segmented top with central wild grained oval panel with inlaid oval border. The ends with a geometric inlaid band. The finely drawn serpentine drawer fronts with a wild grained banding. The commode terminating in canted angle feet with a decorative wild grain cross banding. The commode drawers fitted with exceptional hand cast brass oval handles with central paterae. The design almost certainly by Sheraton.
